This private tour will allow you to enjoy one of the most attractive landscapes in Nicaragua while hiking on rock and sand. Cerro Negro (Black Hill 726 Meters high) is Nicaraguas’s youngest most active volcano, and the second youngest in the American Continent after a guy in Mexico.
It was formed 174 years ago having erupted 18 times since then including the last one in 1999 in which two new crater were formed. with no trees or plants on its steep slopes we will have extraordinary views of other neighboring volcanoes and the vast plain of the pacific region. The hike to the top start from 300M above sea level and takes roughly about 1 hour depending on the pace of the group and the breaks we take .
Making your way down the volcano is much easier and fun as it can only takes 10 minutes to reach the bottom. This slope is also used for volcano boarding that surely can turn this activity into an extreme adventure.
The tour can be run either in the morning or in the afternoom, starting at 07:00am and 03:00pm respectively
